About Shasta Lake (The 3 Shasta's)
|
At
Packers
Bay Marina we offer our guests superb service,
quality and unsurpassed comfort. Our cruises, however, offer our
customers the most important commodity of all, Memories.
The memories of your stay at Packers Bay
will last a lifetime
Whether
it's a quality family vacation or a getaway for two,
a
Packers Bay Houseboat can make your dreams come
true. Picture your family around a campfire,
moored in one of Shasta Lake's many secluded
coves.
We are sure you will be one of the
many who already know:
"It
doesn't get any better than this!" |
Have
breakfast and coffee on the deck of one of our
exceptional houseboats while enjoying the spectacular
sights of The 3 Shasta's, Shasta
Dam, Mt. Shasta, and
Shasta Lake itself. Begin the day teaching
your children to swim or ski on the smoothest lake
water anywhere. Professional ski lessons are
available for every level of experience.
It
is no wonder that Shasta Lake has been called "...The
houseboat capital of the west."
With over 370 miles of shoreline, 30,000 surface acres
of crystal clean water reaching 75-80 degrees in the
summer months, there is something for everyone, young
or old, to enjoy about Shasta Lake.
Try
your luck at catching 17 varieties of fish including
Blue Gill, Bass, Trout, Salmon and Sturgeon, either
from the patio of your Packers Bay Houseboat,
or from a rental craft available at practically any
location around the lake. We
offer special Low Season Rates when the fishing is
also at its best! Shasta
Lake Fishing Guides are available upon request and
arrangements should be requested when making your reservation.
All guides operate independently on Shasta Lake and
are NOT affiliated with Packers Bay Marina. Recommendations
are available or visit our links for
more details. |
See
the wonders of Shasta Caverns, seen for the
first time by a white explorer by James A. Richardson,
a federal fisheries employee. His claim of discovery
is still clearly legible on the wall where he wrote it
that day - November 3, 1878 with carbide from his
miner's lamp. Explore the shoreline for fossils, learn
about the copper mining era and the Wintu Indians
that once inhabited the area.
There
are hundreds of hiking trails and secluded spots you
won't believe, but if you tire of all this relaxation,
fine dining and entertainment are available at several
locations near and around the lake.
All
of us at Packers Bay invite you and your family
to join us and see everything listed above with our
sincerest wishes for some of life's fondest and most
fun-filled memories. We're sure that once you've
stayed with us, you'll be planning your next trip
before you leave the deck for the last time.
